Evolution - Part 3

When Tumaini was little, he and his father used to spend hours talking about things usually during meal times in the fields and while tending to the animals.  Tumaini was always wondering about things all around them and his father was always happy to answer his questions to the best of his knowledge.  This seemed to only create more questions in Tumaini's mind.  Tumaini soon realized that knowledge was a never ending quest but he loved it.

Tumaini also realized that knowledge was different than understanding.  He noticed how his own understanding of things grew and changed over time. It was like a living thing.  Things that he thought he understood well, he now understood better.  He also understood that as he grows and learns and interconnects more and more things, his understanding will evolve and change.  

Tumaini's father would also make a point of pointing out interesting things to him.  Things that were not readily apparent but that would make Tumaini think for days.  Small observations like how a river looked like a tree.  Many branches, like small streams, coming down the mountain combining into a big trunk, the main river, that went all the way to the ocean and split into delta, the roots. 

Over time, Tumaini began to ask questions about things that were alive and things that were not.  This separation seemed to hold a special place in Tumaini's thirst for knowledge.  

During these times, Tumaini's questions to his father were centered around things like what drives growth in living things, or the reason for patterns and different species in everything around us.  Tumaini began to wonder whether mountains, rocks, clouds, stars, rain were linked to living things somehow and whether there was a more unified explanation for everything he saw and felt.

Tumaini's father was always fascinated by how Tumaini's mind worked.  Each of Tumaini's follow up questions was fascinating in its own right.  Tumaini's father equated this to a veil being opened in his own mind to things that had always been there but he had failed to see.  Tumaini was now opening this veil and what he saw was fascinating.

Tumaini's father did the best he could in answering his questions, and for the questions where he had no explanation, he would answer Tumaini with additional questions and observations that he himself had made.  This would only created a greater curiosity in Tumaini.

So by the time Tumaini's conversations with Hekima began, his mind, curiosity, and knowledge allowed him to create a receptive connection to what Hekima was trying to say around free will, evolution, consciousness, and the world of subtler changes, variations, vibrations and the whole concept of how everything was connected, and interdependent.  And not only on earth but beyond earth.  

In the early days of Hekima and Tumaini's conversations, their discussions centered around evolution.  About how evolution was like an arrow flying in a predestined direction.  And how each arrow was led by a head and how Tumaini had been selected to be in the head of humankind's arrow.  

Hekima also explained how arrows were part of bigger arrows and how arrows were also composed of smaller arrows.  Arrows for species, planets, stars, animals, plants.  And, how this hierarchy of things is true for everything in the universe.

On Tumaini's 13th birthday, Hekima began to explain how humankind's arrow had begun to deviate from its intended course and needed to be corrected. He told Tumaini that humans were reaching the tipping point of sustainability on this planet and how that was putting a lot of other evolutionary arrows in danger.

Hekima told Tumaini that he would have to take the lead in righting this big evolutionary arrow by creating a beautiful city in the mountains that would show the world what needed to be done.

This city on the mountains will be like nothing humanity had ever seen before.
