Evolution - Part 4

Tumaini was not too worried about the overall idea of building a city that would show humanity the next step in their evolutionary path.  A city and inhabitants that were one with the main evolutionary currents in the universe.  A self-sustaining city that not only consumed resources but that would make the planet a better place for all in it.

He was really more worried about how he was going to do this.  He figured this endeavor would need a lot of people to make it happen.  These people would need food and shelter for their families while construction was underway.  And, more importantly, they would have to believe in what they were doing beyond the immediacy of just building a city if they were to be successful.

Hekima told Tumaini not to worry those things right now, that things will proceed gradually one step at a time as they were intended.  And, with a little help from the interconnected plant consciousness around the universe.

So Tumaini's education began in earnest.  

For two years, Hekima focused on improving Tumaini's ability to see, feel, and intuit things around him by concentrating and by trying different approaches.  The most important ability that Tumaini was developing was that of building causal chains from not only events in the present but events that had happened in the immediate past.  He was learning to predict what would come next. 

Overtime, Tumaini's ability to predict weather patterns, animal and insect movements, glacier movements and sounds, tree and leaf movements, and even tremors and earthquakes was developing in a way that people in his village began to think that some of what he was able to do was bordering on magic.

When Tumaini began to attend the village council meetings when he turned 16, he began to test his abilities on people.  He would try to foresee what people would do next based on past actions, personalities, moods, the environment, and many other variables, but this proved to be more difficult than he expected.  For some reason, he felt he did not have a complete understanding or feel of all the inputs that go into somebody making a decision.  

This reminded him of the time many years ago when he realized that Hekima's movements were not just the result of physical inputs.  That there was something else.

So his training continued.

In addition to things about the universe, Hekima had spent a lot of time teaching Tumaini pure science like mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology in an effort to take Tumaini understanding of things a level deeper. 

When Tumaini turned 16, Hekima told him that it was time for him to go into the world to begin his journey.  He explained that his ability to understand things would be the key to achieving his goal and to use this ability to understand causality wisely and carefully.  Hekima warned him that some people in the world would be threatened or scared by it and to be very careful.

So, one day, Tumaini sat down with his parents and told them everything about Hekima and everything that he had learned in the last 4 years.  Tumaini told them about Hekima's vision for him and that he had to leave to make this happen.   

Tumaini's mother hugged him for a long time. She said she understood and that she intuited that this day would come from the time he was 4 years old.  She took the necklace that had been given to her by her parents and put it around Tumaini's neck.  She told him that when things were hard out there to hold on tight to it and that strength would come.  

The necklace had a small disk attached to it made out of a white, hard, very unique, and very smooth substance and it had a carving that included a circle and a triangle on top of each other.  Tumaini asked her what that meant and she said that it meant different things for different people and that he would soon find out as he begins his quest in the world.

Tumaini's father told him that being his father has been the best experience that he could have hoped for.  He told him that he knew from a very early age that Tumaini was very special.  He told him how he would always remember watching him see the world and try to connect it all.  He told him he always enjoyed learning with him all those years.  

Tumaini's father took out a notebook that he had kept from the time Tumaini was born,  It was a diary that contained observations and learnings that Tumaini's father had collected over the years while being with him in the forest and the mountains,  Especially during those long question-filled times they spent together. Tumaini's father said that this book was for him to help him regain his strength and determination when times turn hard.  The book was a way to remind Tumaini who he was at his core.

The next day, Tumaini packed his satchel with some food, some clothes, some small tools, his father's diary and he began his quest down the mountain.  He stopped to say goodbye to Hekima.  Hekima reminded him that all plants on earth are connected in case he needed to contact him.  Tumaini hugged Hekima for a while and whispered thank you.  He felt his energy and spirits raise.  He knew Hekima had done that.

So, Tumaini began his walk down the mountain to meet the rest of humanity.
